Welcome emails are sent out to all customers at the time of signup when you set it up on 'Email' tab in Campaign Setup.
1. Add a name that you prefer to use as a sender of the email, title of the email and upload a header image. The image size should not exceed 1280px wide / 600px height. Then, create the email template by using the 'Body Text' screen. Short codes listed in this section can be used in the Body Text field (e.g. 'Dear [firstname]' will appear like 'Dear Mike' by using the real name of the donor
Sender name cannot be specified if you select 'Floodgate' for the mail server.
Various font styles and formats are available for the Body Text field. Code view that you can select at the top right corner of the Body Text field will give you an opportunity edit the template freely.
2. Add the address of your website and social media accounts.
3. Add your email address to the text field and press 'Send'. A test email will be sent to your email address.
4. Before adding anything to this field, check the lock status of the field by looking at the bad lock sign at the top right corner.
Locked, so that you can NOT modify / Unlocked for editting
Mail Server = Floodgate - email is sent out from an unattended 'No-Reply' Floodgate email address.
Mail Server = Microsoft Office 365 - email is sent out from the specified email address.
Mail Server = Custom SMTP - email is sent out from the specified email address.
Mail Server = Reply To - email is sent out from a Floodgate email address, but replies are forwarded to you. A SEPARATE FEE WILL APPLY for this option, so please check the price list and inform our support team (firstname.lastname@example.org) to activate this option.
